About Us

SunnyPath began with a simple belief: every child deserves the chance to enjoy skiing in a safe, supported, and welcoming environment. Inspired by an autistic child named Sunny, we set out to make skiing more accessible—empowering young people to feel confident, included, and embraced by their community.

SunnyPath is sustained by a compassionate network of volunteers and certified CSIA instructors who prioritize safety, patience, and individualized support. As a non-profit organization, we create meaningful ski experiences for children with autism and other neurodivergent conditions.

We work closely with families, autism organizations, and local ski hills to provide free, personalized coaching tailored to each child’s needs and sensory profile.

Who We’re Looking For

  • CSIA Level 1 or Level 2 instructor

  • A strong belief in inclusion and equal access to sport

  • Patience, kindness, and a supportive approach when working with children

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with families and the coaching team

  • A commitment to safety standards and respect for each child’s individual pace

  • Prior experience is welcome but not required; training and ongoing support will be provided

Volunteers (On-Snow / Off-Snow)

Volunteers play a key role in creating a safe, welcoming, and supportive experience for participants and their families.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing on-snow and off-snow support during ski lessons

  • Offering one-on-one companionship and encouragement to participants

  • Assisting children with equipment, transitions, and comfort needs

  • Supporting certified instructors during lessons as needed

  • Monitoring participant safety and emotional well-being

  • Assisting with check-in, check-out, and family support

  • Communicating observations or concerns to instructors and program coordinators

  • Following all resort policies and Sunnypath safety guidelines
